Odd Jobs. In all houses, we all have odd jobs waiting to be done but not quite finished. Sometimes it minor things that need repairing. Or it can be something we would change if we were not planning on moving. We convince ourselves our buyer can do that. Or change that.
Buyers will change things. However, they want to do it through desire in a time frame that suits them. Not through need. If they are doing it through need, it will most likely affect what they will offer you. Not finishing your minor odd jobs could cost you thousands!
Kitchen – Go round your kitchen. Make sure if your kitchen is older check your doors are hung properly. A broken drawer front could make a buyer think you need a new kitchen. Some quick fixes would be to replace handles, work surfaces and taps is really cost effective and can give your kitchen a very effective facelift.
Bathrooms- Just like kitchens, bathrooms are key rooms in the house for buyers. Make sure your tiling, grouting and sealant are clean and quick wash with a damp cloth can make something look brand new. Update an older suite with new taps. Replace your shower screen or curtain to give an uplift to your bathroom
Garden – While Summer is here, buyers will spend much more time looking outdoors. Make sure your fence is in good order; a fresh paint of coat will uplift your garden panels. Make sure you show your outside space as a place a buyer can relax outdoors!
